๑۩۞۩๑ hideaway ๑۩۞۩๑

finally, i have had my "OMG-it-doesn’t-feel-like-i’m-in-cubao cubao experience". Ü

holtz and i went to visit gateway mall yesterday, and we did a thorough rundown of the place. and i meant thorough rundown, as we inspected every nook and cranny of the mall, visited all the sportswear shops as he did his ’samba’ rituals, went inside all the clothes boutiques to pacify my girly-frumpy excitement, and even scrutinized the oasis on the second level (which he helped design, and the highlight of which is his expert rating of the PDAA masterpiece <"hindi ganun kaganda according to my standards… hindi dapat blue tiles… masyadong jungle-y dito sa portion na ito… malamok, may portion na hindi running ‘yung water… tabingi na yung isang palm… yakkety-yak"> and his showing off his knowledge of the scientific names of all plants native to our country <rapis excelsa… jasminum sambac… bambusa vulgaris… pleioblastus argenteastriatus… schizostachyum brachycladum… syzygium samaragense… cocos nucifera… crocodilus mindorensis… pithecophaga jefferyi… getting carried away here… stop.>)

after having inspected the whole gamula (there goes that word, mahko!), we decided that we were hungry and tried out steak escape in the mall’s food express (third level), although if i had it my way (and if not for my three-inch heels that were killing my feet at that time) i would have tried out taco bell. i had lots to eat (which drove holtz to think "aba gutom ang loka!") and we had lots to talk about.

it was a fun day. and we got to accomplish a lot of the things in our "to-do list" (like finally ask about firmware upgrade for his 7610, check out the latest swimwear available, look at my cool nike must-have shoes, spend the day together, and get to know each other more) all in one gateway mall visit.

and of course, we got to take this picture too. this was taken in people are people (at my insistence), while trying out funky shades and checking out funkier clothes (and finding out that we abhor each other’s taste in fashion).

next time i visit gateway (which i think will be soon, if only for the taxi fare going there from my pad <P55.00> which is relatively cheaper than our usual fare from my pad to megamall or galleria or *shudder* sm city north edsa), i shall be in my pambahay (shorts and havvies please, mahko), on a lazy afternoon (and get to eat in taco bell ha?) and of course, with holtz by my side.
