just this morning, i realized that holtz and i had collected quite a number of names (weird and otherwise) that we call some of the people in our lives.

here goes:

1. snuki (as in snooky serna in blusang itim) - the name i call the one girl who’s chasing after him 24/7. hahabulin ko na ‘to ng labaha! kung kinakailangan kong magsunog ng kilay (kanya, hindi akin!) gagawin ko!
2. P and RP - past and recent past
3. shala - holtz’s client. holtz’s very difficult client.
4. 3 o’clock - this amazingly kulet dude pestering me for a lunch date or a dinner date or a snack.. or a gimmick. get a f*cking clue!!
5. mr. stickshift - no comment. holtz’s best friend.
6. his sleaziness - holtz’s other best friend. =P
7. bespren - the guy that holtz is annoyed with.
8. bad girl / hudas - *present! =D

will add to these as the days go by.

i recalled just before i slept last night that there were more!

1. bigboss - also known as ‘lemon’
2. karate kid - my infuriating neighbor who wakes everybody up by shouting profanities and beating his wife (whom he claims to love very much. ain’t love strange?)
3. abnoi - one of those who annoy holtz. in the same league as bespren.
4. mr. Kilig - refer to above
5. fireworks - the girl version of bespren, abnoi and mr. Kilig (although i’m sure holtz would surely disagree). one of those who annoy me. (well, actually, not really! =D) but certainly not in the same league as snuki. this girl, i gotta give some credit.. (see, i’m not bad!!)
6. tangkad at liit - the guards in my building
7. baste - baste is a lot of things. he could be this cute lovable somewhat useless stuffed giraffe i got in clark. or he could be holtz himself. can’t really tell. ‘baste’ is an evolution in our name-calling. sort-of an epitome of what ‘getting there’ is.
8. kat bigalbal - a common friend. her real name is katherine biasbas. but, silly me, confused her with another friend whose last name was bigalbal. (magpaliwanag ba?) and it stuck.
9. probono - holtz’s boss who hasn’t paid him yet for his service and unparalleled talent in landscape architecture. and who still has the gall to pass on more work despite the fact that it has been months since they gave the poor guy his ‘retainer’.
10. cyril and wyld - holtz’s alter-egos (one is a sweetie [although already a dad], and the other is… well… wild.)
11. cho0opeta and c0gnoscenti - my alter-egos (one is jologs and the other is refined)

there will be more, i’m sure.

at nagpampam si allan.. este ‘ronald’. so ok.. idadagdag ko na lang:

1. 1. gidingdong - my best friend who has a very unique name. her real name is leonida rosario hollmann laki-caluste. she introduces herself as ‘rose’. (i mean, with that name, who wouldn’t? hahaha!) but she will always be gid to us.. and the story behind the name is an interesting one. twenty-eight years ago, and i mean twenty-eight loooong years ago, mamu used to sing her a song that went "rigidingrigidingdongdong" (or something like that. nakakapanindig-balahibo di ba? =D) so… yun lang. naging gid.
2. lantot - or ‘ronald‘ as he claims (please refer to his comments) is gid’s other half (i can’t say ‘better half’ eh). his real name is ronald allan (yup, like the president wanna-be) ambata caluste. one look at him and you can definitely say ‘he’s special’ (as in special child). sarap kasama, sarap kausap. sore loser nga lang sa scrabble. (parang ako, sabi ni holtz.) ayan, lantot, may special mention ka na. ibibili mo na ba ako ng javanilla shake??? =D
