this week so far…
- i managed to bolster my addiction to Grand Theft Auto by playing more. (now boyps has competition!) thus, i realized that there is more evil in me than i ever thought there was. surprisingly, i found it exhilarating to play the role of ‘thug’, after getting over the initial shock of seeing gore and inflicting violence. [for further analysis...]
- had a glimpse of the great neil gaiman in fully booked - gateway.
- ended up walking approximately 2 and 1/2 kilometers on my trip to the british council which is situated in front of my office building (thanks to the newly constructed pedestrian overpass along julia vargas and more thanks to the taipan place administration office personnel who decided to have a one-hour break at the exact moment i needed to have my passport photocopied)
- had to endure an extremely agonizingly long elevator ride with a middle-aged expat Caucasian man who didn’t realize that one had to bathe while in a tropical country (cough, cough.)
- managed to enter into and wheedle my way out of a somewhat heated argument with the orient square rear entrance guard because i was asked to register in the reception area. well, one year in the company and i still haven’t gotten my ID. (hello, HR?!?!)
- managed to regain the few pounds i lost by indulging in cafe breton’s la pinay and non-light starbucks grande coffee jelly (twice!)
- acted as an "ate" to one of my closest cousins who is facing a major dilemma right now. woohoo! played one of the sweetest roles there is in life.
- by strange coincidence, saw manny villar after an hour of his image flashing in my mind.
- became the icebreaker in another elevator ride. with around 10 people or so in it who became uncomfortably silent when michael v. entered, i delivered this line: "hindi ba kami mayayari dito?", which earned a few laughs and a number of audible sighs of relief.
- got my surprise plan ruined by the same person i was planning the surprise for.
- was disappointed because the thursnight date was cancelled.
- still journeying. and loving every bit of the trip.
