not so alone after all. a change in perspective was all it took. so i say thanks..

to you, who gave me my special valentine gift. i may have cried buckets of tears that day sporadically, and may not have expressed my most profound appreciation, but i was really touched that you took time to get me that nice little thing (which i am showcasing at home), and to convince me that i needed to get out of bed (and consequently my depression) that day.

to you, who gave me this special band thingamajig im wearing on my right hand, along with my eternity and solitaire, i love it! thank you. it looks good on me, by the way.

to you, who cared for me when i was sickysicky, for my spongebath, and for the laughter, and for watching "white chicks" with me. i got worse when you left. but i’m alright now.

to you, my medicine person, who didn’t mind being roused at 1am to ease my pain, who understood that listening was more therapeutic than the pill, who let me spill my guts out, literally and figuratively, it wasn’t as much hell as it was.

to you, who didn’t mind spending bahts to text me just to ask how i was, without me replying. even if the text was "hoy, paramdam ka naman! buhay ka pa ba?", i knew you meant well and was worried. don’t worry, i’ll pray that you get to find your new place so that you won’t have to pitch a tent in a dark alley.

to you, who makes me laugh — who just listens to me rant and rave, who cracks silly "whipped cream monster" jokes, who makes me feel so immature with your direction, dreams and aspirations, i look forward to building a friendship with you.

to you, who sacrificed part of your sleeping time to have coffee with me and to help make sense out of the chaos, for letting me feel loved, thank you again.
