blocked!!!

after hitting the ‘post’ button for yesterday’s entry, i tried to view my blog and i went: double u, tee and effin’ eff!

here, have a look-see:

bummer.

but when i got to work this morning, i got a copy of this email:

Hi [insert name of IT person here]

How are you? I hope you are well.

I just noticed tonight that IT has blocked the Multiply and Friendster sites on our server. Can you please unblock these sites? FYI, the recruitment team actually uses these networks to find candidates. We have found some really good and quality CVs from these networks and they have become invaluable to us in our recruitment efforts. Sites such as these are actually online communities, we tap the network to find good candidates. I asked ****** to unblock them for us tonight but I understand that he doesn’t have the password to do so.

Thanks for your help and prompt attention on this matter.

from [really gutsy marketing person]

woohoo! yet 6 hours into the workday, IT person still hasn’t unblocked, and i was itching to sneak a peek into my blog and make my daily rounds of blog-hopping. [although i know of a proxy server (nyuknyuk) in maharastra, india that's taking centuries to load, i'd rather not use it]

and then:

i have given the suggestion to post some in friendster for networking.. thanks [IT person], please unblock….

from [bigboss]

yayy!

and so, this is my first post. after my very close encounter with saying buhbye to my blogaroo. tsk. i felt like i was breaking up with a boyfriend. uhmmm… not really. saying goodbye to my hideaway is harder. harhar.
