๑۩۞۩๑ hideaway ๑۩۞۩๑

indulge me… it’s my boithday. and because i can’t really spew out enlightening wisdom 24/7, especially right now, you get 27 things i have learned, realized or deemed a demonstrable, verifiable and certifiable reality in the past year. for half price.

1. not all battles are meant to be fought.
2. cleaning my pad daily would save me a whole weekend of sweeping, brushing and polishing.
3. i’ll never get better in playing (the guitar) if i don’t practice.
4. i don’t necessarily have to yell to be heard.
5. i’m not really a fan of extremely long phone conversations, but i get upset when my phone doesn’t ring in a day.
6. riding the mrt isn’t really that intimidating, after all. i kinda enjoy it, actually.
7. there is not a place where i feel safer than right next to my mom.
8. sleep is still my greatest form of therapy.
9. slowing down doesn’t mean settling into mediocrity.
10. there are times when it’s better to just keep quiet.

11. i worry about my blog lurkers almost to the point of obsession. (leave a comment, for chrissakes! especially you, person-from-central-colombo-sri-lanka!)
12. writing. this is really what i want to do.
13. my intuition is more unfailing than any advice of anyone in my itsy bitsy world.
14. but i can be wrong. very wrong.
15. my threshold for losing interest in the blabber of self-centered people is precisely half an hour.
16. pink is hot. really hot.
17. i am a foodie. much to my wardrobe’s dismay.
18. killing with kindness really isn’t a bad dictum to follow.
19. there need to be spaces in togetherness.
20. moonbathing with the one you love is a gorgeous experience. provided that the roof isn’t dusty, and the house isn’t beside a big aratiles tree inhabited by bats.

21. i will yet have to learn the best reply to my question: would killing time permanently damage eternity?
22. i have not outgrown my stunned reaction to the fact that not everybody in the world finds kris aquino adorable.
23. doubting yourself can be fatal.
24. and paranoia can be lethal to a relationship.
25. looking up a word in the dictionary makes me feel unreasonably deficient.
26. kissing out of the blue gives sublime meaning to the hours of cumbersome flossing i spend.
