etcetera…

i spent ‘alone time’ last weekend. and it was phenomenal.

i had time on my hands to waste spend. so waste spend i did. i finally got to: finish season 3 of the L word; read a few chapters from ‘love in the time of cholera’; clean my pad; watch reruns of nip/tuck, will and grace, friends, the OC and project runway; sew a missing button on my capris; have the boracay pictures printed; buy a protective case for my pink phone *faints*; hear mass; write poetry; think munimuni think.

saturday night i couldn’t sleep. so i blew streams of hot ice into my journal. fired bullets on paper. bang bang.    bang.           bang.

alrighty. 48 hours of alone time was enough.

so i went out for coffee with my best girls and S, and did some grocery shopping. ooooh, how domestic.

‘there need to be spaces in togetherness.’ yup. so the next time you see each other, it is a more impassioned meeting. weehee. zoinks.

recently i revised my list of things to do; and divided it into decades.

here is my tentative list of things that i have to do before i turn 30:

  • skydive (or parasail. *ehem*)
  • own a piece of art (sonata y gugma for my beau)
  • visit Europe (or at least part of it. alright, 3 countries would do!)
  • write a mini-book (collection of poetry and prose). mini-book muna.
  • sponsor a child’s education
  • recite original poetry (i envy you, S!)
  • paint walls
  • volunteer time to charity
  • make a clay pot
  • wear a hot Halloween costume
  • learn the basic level of 1 european language (preferably french or italian)
  • read all the works of ee cummings, ts eliot, rabindranath tagore, soren kierkegaard, kahlil gibran, haruki murakami
  • be a vegan for 1 month
  • learn how to drive a right-hand drive vehicle (and actually own one)

*buntong-hininga* so many things to do! life excites..

i want to: feel all that can only be heard. hear all that can only be seen. see all that can only be smelled. smell all that can only be tasted. and taste all that can only be felt. dream all my dreams. and see myself live them. pray with the innocence of a little child and to understand with the wisdom of an angel.

life life life…. and so i roll.
